Wednesday Stuff

I broke 50,000 words on the Murderbot Diaries sequel novel yesterday, and that's probably a little over to about halfway done. It's been a hard row so that's a relief. The second half will either go very smoothly or be as much of a hard grind as the first half was, I can't tell.


I have three appearances coming up this year so far:


August 15-19, 2019. WorldCon Dublin in Dublin, Ireland.

October 4-5, 2019. Brown County Library ComicCon at Central Library in Green Bay, WI.

October 18-20, 2019. Capclave in Rockville, MD.

I just listened to that radio interview you did, I had it open in a tab forever-- KUOW or something? and you said ART is back for the novel? I'm SO EXCITED, ART was such an awesome character. I just can't wait. (And I mean. Even if that doesn't make the final edit, I love even the concept of it.)

Cool! (ART is a major character and the plot pretty much revolves around it. :) )

With the previous books, some of the writing was easy for you and some of it was difficult, but the results have been uniformly excellent either way. I have no idea how your writing process is going to work for you this time, except that I am quite sure that it is going to work very well.

Oh, that is exciting! I have enjoyed the Murderbot novellas so much (and persuaded at least two friends to try it on the strength of my enthusiasm ... both of whom have reported being delighted too).

I have a Worldcon membership and accommodation, so assuming we still have a functioning UK post-Brexit I should be there.
